Hello,
I just wanted to let everyone know I'll be playing at Jimmie's Ice House on Friday night. The show starts about 8:00 PM and it's FREE! Jimmie's is located on White Oak Dr. across from Fitzgeralds. Jimmie's is a heights institution. There's nothing pretentious about it. It's an honest to God Texas Juke Joint with cold beer, reasonably priced and big garage doors that roll up in the summer time.
I will be playing everything from country music to jazz with a lot of blues; Lightnin' Hopkins, Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Wilson Picket, Ray Charles, Otis Redding, Willie Nelson, etc. It's just me, as usual, on the acoustic, but I have put out the call and you never know who might show up to sit in.
