Cocktails First, Questions Later...
What Blog?
Who wants a blog post? NOT ME! I'm just whooped from hanging out all night......waiting for the rain to stop and the power to come back on.
It did, I didn't! -M

WHAT?
Don't tell me you come here everyday looking for new stuff! You do? OY VEY! I can barely get through the day with a coherent thought on my own, much less by putting in a blog! I suppose I write like I paint. ONCE in a great while and then I attack 4 or 5 paintings at once, all different styles sizes and subjects. I did notice something interesting that Mikey, (mikie?) put on her blog.
A blog meter! It values your blog like a stock or something. Anyway it said the most hits to her blog, and to and from this one came from each other! So, um....good morning Michael Ann!
Lots to do this weekend for the brave. There are shows tonight....I think Dune Patton, yeah that's right. And Lips is playing at Mardi Gras on Durham. Used to be Floyd's Cajun something er other.
I am looking forward to tomorrow. Some friends of ours were trying to put together a Halloween party, but since EVERYONE has plans, it'll be a cocktail party of sorts with everyone dressed up like fools. We should fit right in! Then Marie has her November Invitational, and uh.....about a thousand other things. OH tonight there's a happy hour Halloween thing from 5 to 7 at Mind Body Soul on Westheimer. Michelle told me about that one.
Michelle was in the Halloween article in the Barnicle yesterday. She was really upset they didn't use the photo Gordy took of her a few weeks back in the spider hat. She told me what she's wearing tonight, I think that may be enough to go to this Mind Body happy hour.
I can't even begin to describe the costume other than she might look like a Witch Doctor.
Of the cannibal variety!
Okay. I think that should do it.
Have a marvelous day! And if you see SnoogieBoogie the Wonkaette wonder artist, tell her I said HELLO WONKA!

Open SEASON!
I've noticed some unusual duck activity on in my blog
section! Normally I'd say I've never felt so popular, but I
don't speak duck!
I'm going on over to the Ted Nuggent blog and posting
an open 'duck' season sign on!
B-GAK! B-GAK!
on a more somber note...it's beer time!
Going to the big Dan Electros now.
Can't wait to see what kind of quakings go on while I'm away!
Cheers!

Monday.......
....lazy day....
Suppose I should write something in this space?
FINE! It's Monday. Looking back the weekend was somewhat interesting.
Saturday Carolyn and I took off with high hopes for the weekend.
First we hit every garage sale we could find looking for canvas and frames.
Found none...so off to the big air sucker Academy to get me some shoes.
Being the fine day that it was, Carolyn took the helm and drove us in her
fine Chevy Blazer, windows removed for maximum effect on our psyche.
Then, red gooey stuff started trickling, then gushing out above my feet from
behind the heater. Looked like the bleeding walls in the Amytiville horror!
Pull over, stop short of our destination at Wal-Mart and began our 4 hour
investigation of the red gooey stuff.
After determining the cause to be the heating core, cleanup and rerouting of hoses
began...and was completed quite timely. So the truck starts and refuses to budge!
It wouldn't go into gear! EGADS! So then: call tow, take it home, take nap.
No shoes, no Bayou City Art Fest, no zippity do squat.
At five we went to Teotihuacan for cocktails and dinner.
THAT'S where trouble began! Michael (Lips' boyfriend) and then Alexis joined us.
None of us had the sense to order dinner!
So the rest of the night is blur to me now.
We stopped first at M2 to see the opening. The artist didn't show!
The crowd was thin as to be expected, but familar and friendly.
Michelle waltzed up in a HUGE spider hat with her sister. What a hoot.
Check out Michael-Ann's blog to see more of that.
The Studio Gallery was a blast, but again, blurry after all those margaritas!
So once again I must refer you to Mikies web blog for more details.
Guess I needed a mental break of sorts...I got one!
Sunday I woke up and found I couldn't walk! My right leg felt like it had popped out of the socket! Felt that good all day, so we just stayed home. It's better today, but still sore enough
to keep me out of the mainstream. Expect by tomorrow I'll be back and at 'em.
Cheers!
