....lazy day....
Suppose I should write something in this space?
FINE! It's Monday. Looking back the weekend was somewhat interesting.
Saturday Carolyn and I took off with high hopes for the weekend.
First we hit every garage sale we could find looking for canvas and frames.
Found none...so off to the big air sucker Academy to get me some shoes.
Being the fine day that it was, Carolyn took the helm and drove us in her
fine Chevy Blazer, windows removed for maximum effect on our psyche.
Then, red gooey stuff started trickling, then gushing out above my feet from
behind the heater. Looked like the bleeding walls in the Amytiville horror!
Pull over, stop short of our destination at Wal-Mart and began our 4 hour
investigation of the red gooey stuff.
After determining the cause to be the heating core, cleanup and rerouting of hoses
began...and was completed quite timely. So the truck starts and refuses to budge!
It wouldn't go into gear! EGADS! So then: call tow, take it home, take nap.
No shoes, no Bayou City Art Fest, no zippity do squat.
At five we went to Teotihuacan for cocktails and dinner.
THAT'S where trouble began! Michael (Lips' boyfriend) and then Alexis joined us.
None of us had the sense to order dinner!
So the rest of the night is blur to me now.
We stopped first at M2 to see the opening. The artist didn't show!
The crowd was thin as to be expected, but familar and friendly.
Michelle waltzed up in a HUGE spider hat with her sister. What a hoot.
Check out Michael-Ann's blog to see more of that.
The Studio Gallery was a blast, but again, blurry after all those margaritas!
So once again I must refer you to Mikies web blog for more details.
Guess I needed a mental break of sorts...I got one!
Sunday I woke up and found I couldn't walk! My right leg felt like it had popped out of the socket! Felt that good all day, so we just stayed home. It's better today, but still sore enough
to keep me out of the mainstream. Expect by tomorrow I'll be back and at 'em.
Cheers!
